Dear Rotarians,
It is an honor to serve as the Rotary Club of Georgetown President for the 2021-2022 year. This past year has been nothing but ups and downs for all. Having shadowed a great President last year, I was reminded of the fact that we have to be nimble; selfless serving, and willing to adapt to change. If you can define a Rotarian, that is it. One thing constant is change; we are conforming to virtual presence, less gratifying than anything we have been used to; but potentially more fair to all concerned.
As we are almost through the second month of this Rotary year, our club is gaining new members, is serving through many happy dollars, two major group events amongst them, and the virtual world beyond. I look forward to celebrating all that was accomplished last year, thanking each of you for your continued support through the transition to new leadership, and welcoming the opportunity for this future year.
"What happens when neighbors, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, make connections and take action to create lasting change in their local communities and around the world?"
That’s right. Rotary Happens; and we are here to Serve to Change Lives!
