Georgianne Hewett

First, I pray everyone is in good health and enjoying a very special Easter weekend.
Together we are going to get through this.
Yes, we are just at the beginning of what is expected from COVID-19.
Yes, COVID-19 is and will affect all our lives.
Yes, we need to make changes. (Physical Distancing, Wearing a Mask in public, Avoiding situations where we may spread or catch COVID-19)
Yes, we will probably know someone (Family, friends, associates, Rotarians, acquaintances, etc.) who will contract and /or lose their life to COVID-19.
Yes, we have never experienced anything like this in our lifetime.
It is in these times, more than any other time, that we need to stay connected to each other and support and help each other in any way possible,
Yes, these are the times when, instead of hiding, we learn new ways to connect with each other.
Yes, these are the times when we pick up the phone and connect with those we have lost touch with.
Yes, there are the times when find those in need and meet their needs.
Yes, these are the times when true Rotarians rise up and make a difference in their community and around the world.
I challenge each of you as true Rotarians to rise to the challenge presented by COVID-19.
Together we are going to get through this.
