Summary of Event

  • 25 teams/100 players

  • 25 plus hole sponsors including Annual/Dual Sponsors

  • Approximately 125 people at pavilion (19th hole Party)

Fellow Rotarians, I am inspired by the collective work of the all of the volunteers, sponsors, and players that came out to support the great cause of supporting Early Act First Knight this year.  We will always have adversity, we want difference of opinions; but do not forget that we are proud Rotarians whom have a calling for “Service of above Self”.  We look, act, and think differently, but believe in one united vision.  Thanks for the opportunity to serve the Rotary Club of Georgetown!  I’ll be back next year!

  • Silent Auction was not ideal, but added $1,155 (Still have some of the money to collect….including from me!)
  • Larry Bingham and his crew were ideal in managing supply and demand of not many leftovers and reduced expenses (Lots of positive feedback on the meal….great job!)
  • Young Band (Parker and Elle) were a great addition at an expense of only $200!
  • Thanks to Danny Swafford for making the Margs!
  • 30 people did not pick up a goodie bag (poor guidance from me to the registration folks, but we have extra golf balls for next year due to the player count and this year’s player oversight….reduced expense for next year)
  • Big thanks to Cat Palmer and her providing the golf towels with the Rotary Club of Georgetown logo!  They are sweet….we also have an extra 100 or so for next year…reduced expense again!!!!
  • Most importantly, we couldn’t have done this event without the folks on the committee: Karron Wilson, Vanessa Red, Jeff Cartledge, Larry Bingham, Cris Cash, Dave Fendrick, Myra Page, Denis Pepin, Cathleen Palmer.   You know who you are and I’m appreciative to have you on my committee and serve in battle with you.  Thanks for all you did this year.  I do apologize if I have left anyone off of this email.
  • Overall, feel good about the success of the event.
