Nominations Are Open!

Do you know a young entrepreneur or professional under 40 who is making a significant impact in their field? Whether they're in business, government, nonprofit, or another sector, the Rotary Club of Georgetown, TX, in partnership with the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce wants to recognize their contributions with our inaugural “5 Under Forty” Awards!

The Rotary Club of Georgetown, TX/Georgetown Chamber of Commerce “5 under FORTY” is a distinguished initiative that highlights the achievements of 5 outstanding young adults who, despite being under the age of 40, have demonstrated exceptional leadership, excellence in their respective careers, and a commitment to community service. The program aims to recognize and celebrate the contributions of these individuals who not only excel in their professional endeavors but also make significant efforts to give back to and positively impact their communities.

Through spotlighting these leaders, executives and professionals, the Rotary Club of Georgetown, TX, and Georgetown Chamber of Commerce “5 under FORTY: program inspires and encourages a new generation of influencers, highlighting the diverse talents and dedication of individuals who are shaping the present and future of Georgetown!

And as we review these individuals, we will be reviewing their success in conjunction with the core values of Rotary International that include:

  1. Fellowship: Building lifelong relationships and fostering a sense of community among
  2. Integrity: Honoring commitments and maintaining high ethical
  3. Diversity: Connecting diverse perspectives and embracing people of all
  4. Service: Using leadership skills and professional expertise to solve social issues and improve
  5. Leadership: Leading by example and inspiring others to act.
These emerging leaders are crucial for promoting our area as an attractive place for talent retention and growth.

Application Form

After the nomination period closes, and once completed online applications have been collected, the Rotary Club of Georgetown/Georgetown Chamber of Commerce will form a Review and Recommendation Committee comprised of community leaders to review the nominations and make recommendations regarding the individuals they believe should receive recognition as honorees. The Review and Recommendation Committee will submit its recommendations to the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Georgetown/Georgetown Chamber of Commerce for consideration and action. Each nominee’s application and supporting materials will be scored on their leadership in their industry, as well as their leadership and impact in Georgetown and beyond.

This program will honor Georgetown’s brightest young leaders who have demonstrated success in their careers and/or business, as well as the community they represent. We are looking for individuals who are rising stars showing leadership, demonstrating continued success, and making a positive impact on their work and where they live.

Eligibility: The 5 Under FORTY Awards are open to individuals who meet the following criteria: 
 
  • Nominees must be under the age of 40 as of December 31, 2026.
  • Nominees/nominators must complete the application and provide a headshot photo via email to fiveunder40@gmail.com by the deadline of March 27, 2026.
  • Nominees must be employed within the Georgetown area.
  • Nominations must be supported with 1-3 letters of recommendation by the applicant's president/CEO, direct supervisor, board chair, or city authority. In cases where an applicant is a business owner, please submit a supporting letter from their bank, primary supplier, major customer, or a community leader.
  • The applicant must have made a significant impact on their company or community.
  • The applicant must have demonstrated success as a leader in business, politics, and/or the community.
  • Initiative and dedication in pursuing their career with proven success and achievement.
  • Their involvement in civic, charitable, and/or religious organizations demonstrates their commitment to investing in and serving others.
  • Their passion for Georgetown inspires them to give back.
  • Nominees may be eligible in these and other industry sectors: education, health care, business/professional, social services, not-for-profit, government/public service, finance, services, IT, trades, and more.
  • Self-nominations are permitted.
  • A business/organization/entity can have multiple nominees. However, only one person per small business may be selected. For larger businesses or organizations (500+ employees), two nominees will be considered if they’re from different departments.
  • It is highly encouraged that nominees have been with their current organization for at least 12 months and have achieved workplace milestones over the past 12–24 months.
Chosen honorees are required to attend the awards presentation on May 8, 2026. Inability to attend the awards event is an automatic disqualification from receiving the award.
