On May 18, 2019, a dozen members of the Georgetown Rotary Club (and three of Rhonda Pritchard's children) assembled at the home of Shiloh and Svetlana Banks in Hutto to complete a special ramp build.
Since early childhood, Svetlana has suffered from a condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) which confines her to a wheel chair. SMA is a rare neuromuscular disease that affects the part of the nervous system that controls voluntary muscle movement and leads to progressive muscle weakness and atrophy.
The inset picture show her and Shiloh on her first test run down the new ramp with an ever present smile on her face. The new ramp will allow her to safely exit the home and give her more freedom of movement. outside the home.
