WHY GO TO THE BI-DISTRICT REUNION
IN CORPUS CHRISTI?
A piece of history: During the spring of 2000, a group of Georgetown Rotarians met with a group of Ciudad Victoria Rotarians to finalize details and sign our first Humanitarian Grant proposal. This was a historic moment for our clubs as we established a relationship that has served both clubs very well. Since that time (10 years ago), we have completed 4 grant projects in CV and have just submitted grant #4 for Georgetown. Grants in CV have focused primarily on hospital and health issues. The ones in Georgetown served the Lone Circle of Care, The Caring Place, R.O.C.K., and the latest is intended to serve the community effort regarding "homeless" teens (coordinated by The Georgetown Project).
We need to go to Corpus Christi to maintain the wonderful relationship with our friends in Mexico and begin work on the next project--to be done in Mexico in 2011. Now is the time to get registered and reserve a hotel room. Do not pass up this wonderful international opportunity. One can also reserve a seat on a bus and leave the driving to someone else. When: Friday-Sunday, October 8-10. Ask anyone that has attended in the past--this is a FUN experience.
